Whether we wanted it or not, Blue Book Publications, Inc. has ended up in the driver's seat as the
clearing house for gun information. Because the volume of gun questions now requires full-time
attention, we have developed a standardized policy that will enable us to provide you with the service you
have come to expect from Blue Book Publications, Inc. To that end, we have extended all of these services
to our website.
To ensure that the research department can answer every gun question with an equal degree of
thoroughness, a massive firearms library of over 1,250 reference books, thousands of both new and
old factory brochures, price sheets, most major auction catalogs, and dealer inventory listings are
maintained and constantly updated. It's a huge job, and we answer every question like we could go to
court on it.

We offer three options for firearm appraisals:

- Self Service - we offer you the ability to look up information and and find it's value yourself for $4.95. Click on Online Subscriptions for this option.
- $10 or $15 Questions - we answer qun questions with a charge of $10 per gun value question, payable by a major credit card. All gun questions are
answered on a first-come, first-served basis. All pricing requests will be given within a value range only.
If the firearm needs to be identified first, the charge is $15 per gun question. Gun question telephone
hours are 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, M-F, CST, no exceptions please. You can also email questions to Guns@BlueBookInc.com. Please enter "Firearms Inquiry" in the subject line to avoid accidental deletion. You must provide us with all the
necessary gun information if you want an accurate answer. Our goal is to answer most telephone gun
questions in less than 5 business days, unless we're away attending trade/gun shows.
- Written Appraisals - written appraisals will be performed only if the following criteria are met:
We must have good quality photos with a complete description, including manufacturer's name, model,
gauge or caliber, barrel length, and other pertinent information. On some firearms (depending on the
trademark and model), a factory letter may be necessary. Our charge for a written is 2% of the appraised
value with a minimum of $30 per gun. Please allow 2-3 weeks response time per appraisal request. To select this option click the "Written Appraisal Form" button below.

Additional Services
Individuals requesting a photocopy of a particular page or section from any edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values for insurance or reference purposes will be billed at $5 per page, up to 5 pages, and $3.50 per page thereafter.
